There is no proposal from government to introduce a uniform syllabus in CBSE and state boards as common curriculum does not consider the local contexts such as culture and language, Lok Sabha was informed on Monday.

- During Question Hour, responding to a supplementary question, Minister of State for HRD Upendra Kushwaha said, the national policy on education has given its proposal for a national framework of curriculum with common core values which include the history of the freedom struggle, constitutional movements and other content essential to cherish a national identity
- Some of the states have agreed to the national framework, said Kushwaha
