IF you or someone you know is struggling with drugs or alcohol, head along to a free event this Friday to learn about what help and services are available within Ipswich.

Southeast Queensland manager for International Family Drug Support Day, Dom Shelley, said this was a national event which was held across communities every year.

“This is an event which is held right across Australia to help raise awareness that there are people out there who are impacted by drugs and alcohol, and that there is support available for their families,” he said.

“From a local perspective, we will have people from all emergency services, Queensland Health, representatives from drug and alcohol services and more.”We invite all members of the community to come along and find out more.”

Register your attendance online at fds.org.au and click on local events.

If you need help, ring the 24 hour support line on 1300 368 186.
